A superb display cabinet in molded and carved solid walnut, decorated with columbines. The lower section opens with a marquetry door depicting a mountain landscape with a waterfall, a niche adorned with openwork crossbars, and a glazed cabinet on three sides, fitted with a shelf in the upper section. The front uprights are curved and finely ribbed, the cabinet is topped with a rounded, openwork pediment, the sides are veneered with mahogany and thuya burl strips, the middle niche is lined with field ash, and the glass front with maple burl. Gilt bronze keyhole escutcheons and keys—a remarkable example of cabinetmaking!
