A superb bronze sculpture in the form of a pitcher with a green patina, it depicts three slumbering nymphs amidst a vine setting; a fourth, awake nymph forms the handle. This model is similar to the example produced by Adrien Dalpayrat entitled "La nuit" (The Night), held in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay.
