A rare and spectacular clock in solid, molded, and finely carved walnut, decorated with foliage and flowers. The deeply curved case features two projecting, openwork, and carved uprights, a bronze plaque with a polychrome, gilt patina depicting a draped nymph held by hands symbolizing the passage of time, and a silvered bronze dial. Double signature: AC on the bronze plaque and EA Crepin on the side of the case. Superb patina; note a few treated and filled woodworm holes.
