Gallery - Daum Nancy Rare Vase “With Tulips”

Superb ovoid vase on a pedestal base with a rounded neck, made of blown glass. Rare applied decoration of three orange tulips and green stems, entirely wheel-engraved, on a translucent, acid-etched background. Signed in a wheel-engraved mark on the base. The rotating decoration illustrates the three stages of flower development; an identical example is in the collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Paris at the Petit Palais. Perfect engraving quality and a beautiful luminous effect.
