Gallery - Emile Gallé Showcase “Clematis”

Superb display cabinet in molded and carved solid walnut with a rich marquetry decoration of clematis. It opens with a glazed, paneled door adorned with an openwork crossbar. The cabinet features angled uprights with shaped cutouts, and the base is connected by openwork crossbars carved with woody stems. The interior has a niche in the lower section and two adjustable shelves. It retains its original gilt bronze key depicting a dragonfly. Very fine quality of cabinetmaking!
