Gallery - Emile Gallé Chest “Animated winter landscape”

Superb chest in solid beech molded with rich marked decorations, characters with bundles in a landscape of snowy undergrowth and foliage. It opens by a covering cover with songs, the amounts are carved in high relief to form the base, note the quality of cutting and the choice of essences with in particular a maple magnifying glass to illustrate the snowy parts. Very nice quality of cabinetmaking and superb patina!
