A rare solid sycamore maple desk, molded and carved, with marquetry floral decoration and brass ornamentation. It opens in the frieze with a large drawer; the upper section features a cabinet with two drawers and two niches, one of which is compartmentalized to form a letter file. It rests on a trapezoidal base, curved and carved with stylized woody stems. In very good original condition with a superb patina!
