Gallery - Louis Majorelle Showcase “Peacock Feathers”

A rare display cabinet in solid blond mahogany and courbaril veneer. It opens with two glazed doors and a niche featuring a marquetry panel of peacock feathers. The corner uprights are molded and ribbed, the crossbars are curved, and the upper sides are rounded. It has beveled glass, gilt bronze keyhole escutcheons, and adjustable shelves. This is the "Water Lily" model, produced without bronze ornamentation. Superb quality of cabinetmaking and a beautiful patina!
