A superb display cabinet forming a bookcase in solid, molded, and finely carved walnut, decorated with arrowhead flowers and foliage. The projecting central section opens with a large glazed door and is enhanced with polished steel, patinated wrought iron, and bronze ornaments. The sides open with two glazed doors in polished steel, raised at the top, and two open niches at the bottom. It rests on a substantial molded plinth. The side uprights are carved in high relief on their edges. The sides and niche backs are paneled and veneered in burr walnut. The shelves are adjustable in height. A branded mark is affixed to the back. Remarkable quality of cabinetmaking and ironwork, a beautiful patina, and in perfect original condition! This model was exhibited at the 1912 Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais.
