Rare lady's desk called "billet doux" in solid walnut molded, carved and inlaid on all sides. The upper part has a niche with entablature and back inlaid with butterflies, the box opens with a flap decorated with a squirrel connected to a compartmentalized interior and equipped with a pen holder, the sides are decorated with a floral landscape. It rests on molded and curved legs, the front has two detached columns, carved in inverted twists and a crosspiece with scrolled moldings. Original keys in gilt bronze, hot stamping on the flap, leather of the writing desk with embossed patterns. Exceptional quality of cabinetmaking and superb patina!
