Description
A rare prie-dieu in molded, carved, and inlaid solid walnut with stylized flowers on all sides. The lower section features detached, tapered, and finely carved columns and opens with a hinged door lined with a padded surface over an inlaid niche. The oratory itself has a curved panel decorated with inlaid stars and flowers. Original keyhole escutcheon and key; the upholstery has been replaced by our upholsterer. A superb example of Catalan Modernism, attributed to Gaspar Homar in Barcelona.
