Description
A superb chestnut cabinet, molded, carved, and inlaid with a cicada motif. It features a central compartment with two curved doors, a drop-front door, a large niche divided into a partition door, and two horizontal niches. The uprights are curved, the top is carved with poppy buds, and it is enhanced by an openwork stepped section. Stamped with a hotpoint needle, dated 1899.
